Kibera is the largest slum in Africa. Sponsoring a child is a personal way to show God's love to a child in need.  

Education is the key to a better future…This is a fact and it is true throughout the world.

Without an education, a child does not have the opportunity to master basic facts, to learn how to read or write, to learn the principles of mathematics and improve their knowledge and understanding of life.  Only through education do they have the potential to plan a better future.

The classroom becomes home to these children. The school is the place they receive a daily (and sometimes only) warm meal, feel safe, loved and secure. The harsh conditions in which they live make daily survival a difficult task. Simply put for many needy children, without an education, survival could become impossible.

We cannot solve the huge problem of poverty in the slums, but we know that with God's help and support from dear brothers and sisters, we can help to change the future of some of these precious children and youth in Kibera.   

“Kibera New Life Church” (KNLC) wants to invest in the future of the disadvantaged children living in Africa and inspire them with the Gospel of Jesus. It is our goal to see them impacting their society as they grow and mature.

Changing Lives 

When you invest in the life of a child, you are offering them hope to dream again for a better future and see their dream to become a reality. Your contribution will enable KNLC to invest and transform the lives of many  children. These children will be inspired and encouraged by your love and gift. Your contribution of just $40 per month will help to break the chains of poverty and save these vulnerable children from the recruitment of gangs and terrorist forces that prey on children. Without your support life will be difficult for them. 

Change a story, sponsor a life.  

Sponsors receive a photo and personal information about the child they are helping including information about how to correspond with their child if they choose to do so. Sponsors can choose the age and/or gender of the child they would like to sponsor and may continue to sponsor the same child from year to year, as long as the child remains in the program. Sponsoring a child is truly a blessing not only to the child but to the sponsor as well.

If you are unable to commit to the ongoing support of a child, you may consider:

• a one-time donation to help these children
• monthly or quarterly donation to this ministry

There is always a need to meet shortfalls concerning continuing needs to cover the cost of uniforms, shoes, books, school supplies, and other necessities.
